Science Fair
Science Fair - The finalized binder, with summary and bibliography is due on Wednesday. Please adhere to this due date so that I have time to return all the projects with time for everyone to complete their boards.
The boards (and binder) are due on November 4 and must follow a specific standard which is detailed in the science fair guide. We will begin in-class presentations that week, so students should be prepared to discuss their projects and answer questions.
Students should have (and keep) the following documents in their planner binder. Please use the links to reprint them, if you need to.

Projects should be of adequate challenge and significant interest to a fifth grade student. We will not approve projects pertaining to the following topics:
- eggs floating in liquid
- cleaning pennies
- counting popcorn
- liquid capacity of paper towels or gummy candies
ALL PROJECTS MUST BE TESTABLE EXPERIMENTS
IN WHICH QUANTITATIVE DATA (numbers) CAN BE MEASURED AND COLLECTED
As students are considering project ideas, be sure they are thinking about how they will test their question and gather data accurately.
